PCI were engaged to carry out full control cabbing installation works associated with two new 2 stage trans-critical CO2 plants at Booker Food Logistics in Royton, Oldham.
The works consisted of safe isolation and removal of existing systems in the following areas:
- Freezer Chamber (-22°C)
 - Airlock (+10°C)
 - Marshalling (+1°)
 - Poultry (+1°)
 - Chill 1 & 2 (+1°)
 
The works were carried out over a staged period to avoid and disruption to the depot’s day to day operations.
Following the removal of the existing system new services were installed by PCI as below:
- Control Panels
 - Full containment system and supports
 - Cabling & terminations to following:
- Fans
 - Dampers
 - De-frost systems including peripheral heaters
 - Temperature probes
 - Valve station controls
 - RDM systems
 - CO2 detection wiring
 
 - Testing & Commissioning
 - O&M manuals
